Vice President Pence Urges Support for Senators Perdue, Loeffler During Savannah Rally

Following Vice President Mike Pence’s Defend the Majority rally Friday in Savannah, the Georgia Republican Party released a video highlighting his unwavering support for U.S. Sens. David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA).

The Georgia GOP tweeted, “NEW VIDEO @Mike_Pence: ‘Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are wrong for Georgia and wrong for America.’”

“The road to the Senate Republican Majority runs right through the state of Georgia,” Vice President Pence said. “We need Senator David Perdue and Senator Kelly Loeffler back. The stakes in this election have never been higher. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock’s agenda is of higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, a Green New Deal, defunding the police and packing the courts. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are wrong for Georgia and wrong for America.”

Pence also tweeted, “We’re going to keep fighting until every LEGAL vote is counted. We’re going to keep fighting until every illegal vote is thrown out. And we will never stop fighting to Make America Great Again!”

Pence’s visit came a day before President Donald Trump was to travel to Georgia to show his support for the two senators, The Georgia Star News reported. His administration has made it a point to rally voters to the two senators for the runoff despite pledges by some to boycott over discontent with election fraud.

The January 5 runoff election will determine control of the U.S. Senate. Perdue is running against Democrat Jon Ossoff. Loeffler is running against Democrat Raphael Warnock.

Pence also said, “We need Georgia to say ‘No’ to Ossoff and Warnock and ‘Yes’ to Senator David Perdue and Senator Kelly Loeffler on January 5.”

People who do not want to vote by mail may vote in person starting December 14, Pence said.
