Facebook Group Allegedly Calls for Infiltrating, Exposing Members of Loudoun Group Parents Against Critical Theory

A northern Virginia Facebook group is under investigation after members of the group allegedly called for volunteers to infiltrate and hack internet groups of parents who are opposed to critical racism theory initiatives in Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), according to reporting by The Daily Wire.

A screenshot posted to Twitter by The Virginia Project shows Jen Morse, a member of Facebook group Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County highlighting a call for volunteers to publicly expose members of groups like the Parents Against Critical Theory (PACT).

“Infiltrate (create fake online profiles and join these groups to collect and communicate information, hackers who can either shut down their websites or redirect them to pro-CRT/anti-racist informational webpages,” states one point in Morse’s post.

According to The Daily Wire, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.

PACT has been actively signaling alarm over LCPS policies like equity training for teachers and a plan that would have banned teachers from public speech that did not align with the district’s goals, including racial equity and eradicating systemic racism. The district has also been criticized for teaching social justice material to children. Last month, LCPS made national headlines by de-emphasizing Dr. Seuss on Read Across America Day, traditionally held in conjunction with Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

The Daily Wire also reported that former teacher Hilary Hultman-Lee echoed Morse’s call: “Regarding the anti-CRT movement, we’d like to compile a document of all known actors and supporters,” Hultman-Lee said in a post in the group.  “Please comment below with legal names of these individuals, area of residence and or school board Rep known, known accounts on social media, and any other info that you feel is relevant.”

In response, The Virginia Project announced it was fundraising to initiate legal action. The organization said, “We are going to legal war with a group of left-wing ‘Critical Race Theory’ domestic terrorists that have been caught red-handed, with the evidence in volume and detail enough to be beyond dispute.”
