Kamala Harris Delivers Democrat Talking Points in TSU Commencement Speech

Aaron Gulbransen, a Political Reporter at The Tennessee Star and The Star News Network, reported from the Tennessee State University undergraduate commencement in Nashville, Tennessee where Vice President Kamala Harris was the featured speaker.

Harris’s speech, delivered at an institution that receives both federal and Tennessee taxpayer funding, included typical Democrat talking points on voting issues, abortion, and the free exchange of information.

‘In the United States, we are once again forced to defend fundamental principles that we hoped are long settled. Principles like the freedom to vote, the rights of women to make decisions about their own bodies,’ she said.

‘Even what constitutes the truth, especially in an era when anyone can post anything online and claim it is a fact,’ Vice President Harris added. Harris additionally delivered liberal talking points on healthcare, the climate, and the criminal justice system.

Gulbransen: We’re here at Tennessee State University where Vice President Harris has given a commencement speech to the graduated
class of 2022.

Vice President Harris, in what became a political speech emphasized liberal  Democrat talking points in her address including abortion and election integrity.

Harris: You graduate into an unsettled world both abroad and here at home. In the United States, we are once again forced to defend fundamental principles that we hoped were long settled. Principles like the freedom to vote, and the rights of women to make decisions about their own bodies. (Cheers)

Gulbransen: Harris alluded to what the left considers the dangers of online free speech.

Harris: Especially in an era where anyone can post online that it is a fact.

Gulbransen: President harris further told the students that climate change needs to be addressed.

Harris: We must also grapple with the urgent issues some of them have been accelerated during your lifetime like the need to address the climate crisis.

Gulbransen: The vice president additionally gave key talking points used by the group black Lives matter.

Harris: Some, since the founding of our nation disparities in who has access to health care disparities and how people are treated by the criminal justice system.

Gulbransen: Harris concluded her political talking points by telling the assembled cheering students that she looks forward to the day that they lead.

Harris: And yes I can see the challenges but I’m here to tell you, I also see the opportunities. The opportunities for your leadership.
