Passionately Catholic: Fear Is in the Air

by Suzy Kelly

Ponder this…

Are you in a state of fear due to the coronavirus outbreak? Just a simple trip to the grocery store can strike fear into your otherwise calm spirit. People wearing face masks and gloves, empty shelves that are normally fully stocked, and people standing six feet apart at the checkout are unsettling images.

We realize that our world has changed. One way to calm all fear is to live each day knowing, loving, and serving the Lord. Take a moment to read from sacred scripture the words of great comfort, for we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him.

Discover the treasures God has in store for you when you follow him and his will for you. During this time of great anxiety and uncertainty, our hope is in the promises of our Lord. Today is the day to turn to the Lord, asking him to calm your spirit and to provide you with hope for the future. The Bible and the teachings of the church will provide you with the peace you need to live each day.

The more you know and love the Lord, the more peace you will have in your day.

I’m Suzy Kelly and I am Passionately Catholic.
