TRUMPDATE: Latest From the Team Trump Virginia Campaign for October 5

Welcome to the Saturday edition of our daily Virginia Trump campaign update! We will provide our readers with daily updates on the Trump Virginia campaign from today to November 3 (and after…if need be!).

It’s officially 29 days until the election on November 3 – and 26 days until early voting in Virginia closes. The deadline to register to vote in time for the 2020 election is October 13.

President Trump continues to receive treatment and recover from COVID-19 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland. The president continues to assert that he’s doing well, and he continues to work while in the hospital.

President Trump tweeted a four-minute video on Saturday, thanking everybody for the prayers and support and saying that First Lady Melania Trump continues to do well in her dealing with the virus.

With the president in quarantine for the next week to 10 days, the Trump-Pence campaign has organized an effort to keep the campaign rolling.

“Operation MAGA” is now in full-force. Top-level members of the campaign and supporters of the president are being asked to rally around President Trump until he can return to the campaign trail. The campaign will be engaged in virtual events until Wednesday, the date of the vice presidential debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Democrat nominee Kamala Harris.

“Operation MAGA will fire up the entire MAGA universe to keep President Trump’s campaign at full speed until our Commander-in-Chief returns to the campaign trail,” said Bill Stepien, Trump 2020 campaign manager. “Vice President Mike Pence, the First Family, our coalitions, and our grassroots supporters will be out in full force to show the real enthusiasm behind the president’s re-election and to show we’re working as hard as he always does.”

Team Trump Virginia will continue to do their part this week, knocking on doors, making phone calls, connecting with voters and registering new voters. There will be watch parties across the state for this week’s vice presidential debate, and more information on those will be revealed as details become available.
