Virginia GOP Attorney General Candidate Jack White Gave More Than $5k to Biden in 2020 – Including $2,800 Days Before Election

UPDATE: The Jack White for Attorney General campaign confirmed to The Virginia Star that Jack White gave $5,600 to campaign committees associated with the Biden for President campaign in October 2020. The money was sent as two separate contributions. The first donation occurred October 1st, 2020, to the Biden Victory Fund in the amount of $2,800. The second donation occurred 29 days later on October 30th, 2020 to the Biden Action Fund for $2,800.

FEC records show that Jack White, a Fairfax County attorney who had a solid Q1 finance report, donated to Biden for President twice and the Biden Victory Fund PAC twice during the 2020 presidential election, just months before he announced his campaign for the Republican nomination for Attorney General.

According to his law firm’s website and the Bar Associations of Texas, the District of Columbia, and Virginia; Mr. Jackie Lynn White II is a licensed attorney and partner of FH+H PLLC. Mr. White is the only practicing attorney in the State of Texas, the District of Columbia, and Commonwealth of Virginia with his name or a variation of his name. According to law firm’s site, he is also the only person on staff at his law firm by the name Jack White. His practice mainly consists of corporate law and advising corporate boards.

According to Federal Election Commission Reports, there were four donations made by a Mr. Jack White or a Mr. Jack L White who was employed as an attorney at FH+H PLLC.

On October 1st, 2020, a maximum federal contribution was made to the Biden Victory Fund PAC by Jack White. Also, Jack White made an additional maximum federal contribution to Biden for President. The employer listed is FH+H PLLC.

On October 30th, 2020, just four days prior to the 2020 presidential election, Jack L White made maximum contributions to both the Biden Victory Fund PAC and Biden for President. He listed his employer as FH+H PLLC.

According to the Virginia Public Access Project, Mr. White gave $250 to Rodney Lusk for Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. Mr. Lusk was a Democratic candidate for Supervisor in 2019. This is the only reported donation of a Mr. Jack White who was employed at FH+H PLLC.

When reached for comment, White for Attorney General Campaign Spokesperson Alyssa Farah, did confirm that it was in fact Jack White, candidate for Attorney General, that made these campaign contributions.

The White for AG campaign did say that Jack White voted for President Donald Trump in the 2020 general election.

Farah continued, “It is a common practice for men and women in business to contribute to members of both parties. Just like President Donald Trump donated to various Democrats as a business man – including Hillary – he entered politics as one of the strongest conservatives in decades and defeated her. Jack White made business contributions to Republicans and Democrats and then defeated Kamala Harris in court and is excited to defeat the Democrats liberal agenda this November.”

In a statement to The Virginia Star, Chesterfield County Supervisor and Republican candidate for Attorney General Leslie Haley called for Jack White to withdraw from race:

Jack White has been misrepresenting who he is and his record on the campaign trail. No true conservative would donate to Joe Biden four days before election day last November. We cannot trust his rhetoric.

At the same time the Republican Party of Virginia is making delegates who have voted in Democratic primaries sign a pledge to support Republicans, we have an Attorney General candidate who gave the maximum amount, over $5,000, during last October, to Joe Biden while President Trump was campaigning hard to defend our country.

I’m calling on Jack White to immediately drop out of the race for the Republican nomination.

Waverly Woods, Chuck Smith for Attorney General campaign consultant, told The Virginia Star that they had no prior knowledge to these donations. “This campaign has been focused on issues, focused on positive message from Republicans, and what the Attorney General should be doing.” Woods added it should be up to the Republican Party of Virginia and the RPV Party Plan to decide if he should be on the May 8th ballot.

Delegate Jason Miyares’ (R-Virginia Beach) Campaign Manager Klarke Kilgore declined to comment.

Republican Party of Virginia State Chairman and former Delegate Rich Anderson (R-Prince William) commented on the matter by saying, “I have not seen any of the information. This is not a violation of the state party plan, because he did not sign a statement of intent to support…he was not in violation of the party plan provisions and is therefore a bonafide candidate for Attorney General of Virginia.”

Republican Party of Virginia Spokesman John March added,”The nomination will take place on May 8th and convention voters will need to have all information to take into consideration.”
