Dave Portnoy Discusses His Most Viral Pizza Review in Episode 21 of Tucker Carlson’s Show

In episode 21 of his newest production, “Tucker on Twitter,” former Fox News primetime host Tucker Carlson sat down with Barstool Sports founder and CEO Dave Portnoy.

During his 50-minute interview with Carlson, Portnoy previewed and discussed the latest episode of his “One Bite” customary pizza review series, where he got into a shouting match with the owner of Dragon Pizza in Somerville, Massachusetts.

In his full review of the pizza shop, posted online Thursday evening, Portnoy declared, “This pizza is trash” and gave it a 6.4 out of 10 rating after taking one bite of a slice.

The pizza shop owner then came outside from the shop to the sidewalk where Portnoy was filming and told him he did not appreciate him judging a business by one bite.

“I hope you enjoy your pizza, but I don’t appreciate what you do to small businesses,” the owner told Portnoy, before walking back into his shop.

Moments later, the owner came back out and threatened to call the police and have Portnoy removed from the sidewalk, which ignited a shouting match between the two men.

“I don’t care what our politics are, left or right, clearly that guy is, like, hates Trump, hates everything, but why do you hate me? You don’t know anything about me,” Portnoy said to Carlson during his interview. “You come out yelling, yelling, yelling – I would sit down and have a conversation, but this is what we’ve become – honestly in this country – it’s just you scream at each other for no reason. Like, that guy just came out, had no business in anything except yelling, screaming… That guy is truly what’s wrong with everything in this country.”

“No matter what, he’s going to hate everybody he perceives differently,” Portnoy added.

Carlson, who has done a pizza review with Portnoy in the past, noted that “99 percent” of people appreciate Portnoy coming and reviewing their businesses; however, he noted that there is occasionally “someone who’s got something going on in their personal life or has a problem with you and it doesn’t go well.”

As of press time, the latest installment of Carlson’s video podcast, posted at 8:14 p.m. Central Standard Time on Thursday, had over 9 million views. The 21 episodes posted by @TuckerCarlson have been seen over 1.1 billion times on Twitter / X.
