ISIS-K Terrorist Confesses to His Role in Abbey Gate, Moscow and Embassy Attacks

A terrorist from the Islamic State – Khorasan Province (ISIS-K), who was extradited to the United States in the early Wednesday morning hours, confessed to the FBI that he played key roles in the infamous bombing of Abbey Gate at the Kabul, Afghanistan airport that took the lives of soldiers and civilians, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. He also claimed taking part in a deadly attack on a concert hall in Moscow, and a blast targeting Canadian embassy security guards in Kabul.

Feds Caught Potential Copycat of New Orleans Terrorist, DOJ Says

Federal prosecutors charged a man allegedly inspired by the New Year’s Day massacre in New Orleans with attempting to join ISIS.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced terrorism charges against Abdisatar Ahmed Hassan from Minneapolis in a Friday press release, saying he tried to travel to Somalia to become an ISIS militant in December. The DOJ said Hassan “praised” ISIS follower Shamsud-Din Jabbar for his Jan. 1 attack that killed 15 people, bolstering past concerns that the attack would inspire copycat extremists.

Two Indian Nationals Indicted for Elder Fraud Scheme Targeting Victims Nationwide

A federal grand jury in Tucson returned an indictment against two Indian nationals – Ahmed Maqbul Syed, 57, and Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi, 27 – over their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to commit money laundering. Syed, in addition to the money laundering charge, was also indicted on a charge of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
