Commentary: Democrats Have Already Started The Second Civil War

anti-Trump attacks

Democrats, such as Far Left demagogue Rep. Maxine Waters, have recently been called-out for encouraging mob action that could lead to civil unrest, but by most measures we would apply to other countries America is already well into the beginning of the Second Civil War.

If we looked at any country in Latin America and saw a half-million people gathered in public applauding calls to blow up the Presidential Palace, political supporters of the President being beaten, government officials being mobbed in public, and a prominent politician shot and critically wounded in an attack on members of the parliamentary majority, we would say, “There’s an insurgency going on here.”

Couple that with the Leftist party in Parliament engaging in a “massive resistance” of non-cooperation with the duly elected President and parliamentary majority that is straight out of the Bolsheviks’ playbook for Russia’s October Revolution and we would say, “There’s an insurgency going on here.”

While the Trump administration has yet to take a look at this and publicly label what’s going on as an insurgency, Americans outside of government have looked around and drawn the obvious conclusion.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds 31 percent of “likely U.S. voters” say it’s likely that the United States will experience a second civil war sometime in the next five years, with 11 percent who say it’s “very likely.”

And here’s the kicker; 59 percent of all voters are concerned that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence, with 33 percent who are “very concerned.”

What’s even more interesting is who among the respondents is most concerned: Democrats, at 37 percent are more fearful than are Republicans at 32 percent and voters not affiliated with either major party at 26 percent are even less concerned that a second civil war is at hand.

In other words, more Democrats are concerned that that their fellow Democrats are going to start a civil war, than are Republicans and independent voters.

Makes you wonder what the Democrats who responded to the poll know that the rest of us don’t, doesn’t it?

The Rasmussen survey found most voters across the partisan spectrum are concerned about political violence from those opposed to Trump’s policies, although Republicans are the most likely to be “very concerned” about the threat of political violence.

Women and those under 40 are more worried about a possible civil war than men and older voters are Rasmussen reported.

Forty-four percent of blacks think a second civil war is likely in the next five years, a view shared by 28 percent of whites and 36 percent of other minority voters. Whites are also less concerned about political violence than the others are.

Rasmussen also found that 51 percent of voters who “strongly approve” of the job Trump is doing are “very concerned” that opponents of the President’s polices will resort to violence, but just 23 percent of those who “strongly disapprove” of the job he is doing agree.

Many conservatives will recall that the Obama Department of Homeland Security and Department of Transportation were not bashful about labeling its opponents as terrorists or potential terrorists, even when there was little evidence to support the claim.

Pro-life organizations and believers, Tenth Amendment supporters, veterans and other conservatives were all lumped together as “rightwing extremists.” You can view a summary of the many times the Obama administration labeled conservatives as potential terrorists through this link.

The FBI defines domestic terrorism as events that appear intended to “intimidate or coerce a civilian population” or “influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion.” If that is not what the Left has been engaged in with increasing ferocity, especially over the past two weeks, then “intimidation and coercion” have lost their meaning.

While the President has drawn attention to the demagoguery of Rep. Maxine Waters in various tweets, unlike the Obama administration, the Trump administration’s Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security and other organs of domestic security, at least publicly, have been remarkably sanguine about the situation.

We think it is time for the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security to act. If you agree we urge you to contact the Department of Justice through this link, under topic of this message click “Messages to the Attorney General” from the dropdown menu and let Attorney General Jeff Sessions know you think it is time to open an investigation into the growing insurgency in the United States, including who is funding it and who is behind its command and control organization.
