A dramatic video recording of law enforcement officers ramming through climate activists’ blockade as they attempted to stop traffic surfaced on Sunday.
Climate activists blocked a road leading into the Burning Man festival in Nevada on Sunday, causing a massive traffic jam, according to multiple reports and to video footage of the incident shared on Twitter. Video footage shared on Twitter appeared to show Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police vehicles smashing through their barricade, and a law enforcement officer drawing his gun and arresting the protesters.

Video footage of the incident shows a ranger vehicle in front of the barricade announcing to the protestors someone inside the vehicle wanted to speak with the protestors.
“Send your leader to my vehicle, let’s talk, get off the f*cking road,” the ranger vehicle announced before another ranger vehicle appears to ram the barricade.

Seven Circles, a coalition of climate activist organizations claimed responsibility for a protest on the road, and made demands of Burning Man leadership, according to a publicly available press release.
“Ban private jets, single use plastics, unnecessary propane burning,” the press release reads.
Climate protesters have drawn the ire of many drivers recently by stopping roads in random countries all over the world.
For example, activists blocked a Pride parade in London in June over the parade’s usage of funds from “high-polluting” industries and were promptly removed. One blonde woman in Germany dragged climate protestors off the street in July following their blockage of a road.

If Law Enforcement can’t protect the general public and enforce the law, there will be no law, and we will find out what living under anarchy is like.
It is heartening to see officers who are determined to allow everyone their rightful freedom to use the road. Those blocking traffic have no right to usurp that freedom.
