President Trump Pledges to Campaign in Georgia December 5 for Sens. Perdue, Loeffler

President Donald Trump said he will campaign in Georgia on December 5 for incumbent Republican U.S. Sens. David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) in the runoff election.

On Friday, in response to a Newsmax story saying many conservatives may boycott the election, Trump tweeted, “No, the 2020 Election was a total scam, we won by a lot (and will hopefully turn over the fraudulent result), but we must get out and help David and Kelly, two GREAT people. Otherwise we are playing right into the hands of some very sick people. I will be in Georgia on Saturday!”

The president also made the campaign appearance pledge to members of the Armed Forces in a teleconference call on Thanksgiving, but the White House clarified that he would campaign in Georgia on December 5, Breitbart reported.

The January 5 election will determine control of the U.S. Senate. Perdue is running against Democrat Jon Ossoff. Loeffler is running against Democrat Raphael Warnock.

The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is pushing back against the runoff boycott movement.

Trump Jr. tweeted, “I’m seeing a lot of talk from people that are supposed to be on our side telling GOP voters not to go out & vote for @KLoeffler and @PerdueSenate. That is NONSENSE. IGNORE those people. We need ALL of our people coming out to vote for Kelly & David.”

#WalkAway Campaign founder Brandon Straka announced that he is coordinating plans to help Perdue and Loeffler win reelection, The Georgia Star News reported.

Straka tweeted, “PATRIOTS-in the next 2 days I’m putting a plan together for a mass canvassing campaign in GA. This will include door knocking, phone banking & live rallies. We must KICK ASS in GA to take these 2 Senate seats.Had great talks w GA GOP today! I need ALL HANDS ON DECK. Stay tuned!”
