Taxpayer Funding for NFL, Other Pro Sports Stadiums Grows Exponentially

Over the next nine years, more than half of the stadiums in the National Football League will reach 30 years of age, or the age at which stadiums are generally replaced, according to economist J.C. Bradbury of Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

The model for replacement is trending more toward the taxpayer-supported efforts being pitched for the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills than it is strictly team-owner funded stadiums such as the $5 billion SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, home of the Chargers and Super Bowl-champion Rams.

Former Raiders Head Coach Gruden Sues NFL and Goodell over Alleged ‘Forced Resignation’

Former head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders Jon Gruden filed a lawsuit Friday accusing the NFL and league commissioner Roger Goodell of launching a “malicious and orchestrated campaign” intent on ruining Gruden’s career.

According to the Washington Post, the lawsuit argues that Goodell and the league engaged in “a Soviet-style character assassination” against Gruden by intentionally leaking old emails that included disparaging language towards women, as well as racist and homophobic comments.

NFL to Allow Far-Left ‘Social Justice’ Phrases on Helmets for Upcoming Season

For the 2021 football season, the National Football League (NFL) will permit its players to display far-left propaganda on their outfits, and the league will even provide six different phrases for players to choose from for display on their helmets during games, as Fox News reports.

The six phrases that players can have emblazoned on their helmets are: “Black Lives Matter,” “End Racism,” “Stop Hate,” “Inspire Change,” “It Takes All Of Us,” and “Say Their Stories.” In addition, the league will allow home teams to have one of two phrases written across the end zones of their fields: “End Racism” or “It Takes All Of Us.”
