Tackling the Question ‘Nobody is Talking About’ Amid Hamas’ Attack on Israel

In episode 29 of his newest production “Tucker on X,” host Tucker Carlson reviewed the horrific acts of violence over the Yom Kippur holiday weekend in Israel by Hamas militants.

Joining him on the Monday program was Ohio businessman and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Prior to introducing Ramaswamy, Carlson presented video clips and social media posts from former Governor of South Carolina and GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley, Texas U.S. Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX-02), and U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) who all, essentially, called for war with Iran amid the Palestinian militant group Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel.

However, Ramaswamy argued that going to war with Iran would not be in America’s best interest, noting that the United States is susceptible to the same kind of attack Israel experienced over the weekend.

“There is one element of this that nobody’s talking about – what the hell went wrong with U.S. and Israeli intelligence and the Israeli defense that allowed this to happen? Everybody seems to be punting that as a question for later. I think it’s a question for now,” Ramaswamy said.

If he was president, Ramaswamy said he would “get to the bottom of what allowed this gaping hole of intelligence and defense to even happen before feeding that same beast.”

“If a doctor told you his job was to keep you from getting cancer and then you got that cancer, don’t go trust that same doctor to remove your tumor…And so I think those answers need to come now – that’s not a question for later,” the Republican explained. “One of the learning for the U.S. is if that establishment can get it wrong in Israel from a U.S. perspective, that could happen right here at home. And if anything, as an ally, one of the things we need to wake up to is that we’re vulnerable here in the United States to the same.”

Ramaswamy later said his outrage is the highest knowing that the country is vulnerable to numerous threats, including cyber attacks, nuclear attacks, electromagnetic pulse attacks, and attacks from space.

The presidential hopeful further went on to say it is “immoral” for politicians on both sides of the aisle to “abandon, completely abdicate defending our own border, yet worry about other people’s borders more than we worry about our own.”

As of press time, the latest installment of Carlson’s video podcast, posted at 4:37 p.m. Central Standard Time on Monday, had over 7.3 million views. The 29 episodes posted by @TuckerCarlson have been seen over 2 billion times on Twitter / X.
