TRUMPDATE: Latest from the Team Trump Virginia Campaign for October 28

Welcome to the Wednesday edition of our daily Virginia Trump campaign update! We will provide our readers with daily updates on the Trump Virginia campaign from today to November 3 (and after…if need be!).

It’s officially six days until the election on November 3 – and three days until early voting in Virginia closes.

The president returned to the campaign trail in the battleground states of Michigan and Wisconsin on Tuesday. The president was able to take a victory lap of sorts, celebrating the successful confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Mr. Trump also continued to tout the economic recovery and the successes of his administration in the first term.

Today the president will address crowds of supporters at two rallies in Arizona. On Thursday, President Trump will return to North Carolina and speak at a rally in Fayetteville.

While the president has been blazing a trail across the country, making his case to the American people that he should be re-elected, Joe Biden continues to stay hunkered down in Delaware. The former vice president did manage to break out of his basement long enough to go speak in Georgia on Tuesday, but it’s been evident that Biden has had no interest in getting out in front of voters. It’s something the Trump campaign has capitalized on over the last several months as the re-election efforts have become the largest grassroots campaign in American political history.

With less than a week now until the polls close, the focus shifts to getting people to the polls if early voting is an option in their state. The pandemic likely has played a role, but unsurprisingly the number of people voting early in this election has surpassed the total from 2016 at record levels.

The Trump campaign has anticipated an early surge in the number of votes for Biden, but the campaign is expecting the vote total to go the other way, in the president’s favor, as votes start to be counted.

Virginia is in the final 72 hours of early voting, and so Trump Team Virginia is making every effort to make sure people exercise their right to vote.
